This month, Ukraine will mark its 33rd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence from the Soviet Union. However, with the ongoing war, the fight for Ukraine’s independence and peace is far from over, and our support is vital to ensure that Ukraine can once again celebrate its freedom.
To commemorate this year’s Independence Day, Helping Hands for Ukraine is raising funds for maternity ward equipment. Since the war began, countless hospitals have been damaged, and the maternity wards are in dire need of equipment to ensure safe deliveries and care for newborns and mothers. Helping Hands for Ukraine is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization established in May 2024 by an ordinary American family with Ukrainian roots. Operating out of their home garage in Ridgewood, New Jersey, this small charity has made a significant impact. Since the war began, they have sent their 50th shipment of aid, topping over twenty thousand pounds (10 tons!) of supplies.
Helping Hands for Ukraine’s mission is to deliver critical humanitarian aid and medical supplies directly to those impacted by the conflict in Ukraine. The organization minimizes overhead costs and directly supplies aid to frontline doctors, field surgeons, army medics, and volunteers, eliminating the “middleman” and bypassing undue governmental bureaucracy. This streamlined process ensures that aid reaches those who need it most quickly and effectively. Most importantly, Helping Hands for Ukraine is committed to full transparency and ensures accountability for every project and every donation.
